HOW IT ALL FITS TOGETHER

Here's what happened — and the product you're now on

When customers are reassigned, we're required by law to place you on a regulated transition agreement. It's not a product we price ourselves — the markup is set by the Danish Utility Regulator.

1

Your previous supplier couldn’t deliver

Your previous electricity supplier could no longer deliver power, so Energinet reassigned your address to a new supplier through DataHub.

2

You were moved to enkel energi

We took over your electricity supply without any interruption. You didn’t have to lift a finger — and your power was never at risk.

3

You’re on a statutory transition agreement

You’re placed on a regulated transition agreement with a markup set by the Danish Utility Regulator (§ 72 f). We bill it based on your actual usage, so there’s no prepayment. Keep it — or switch away whenever you like.

STATUTORY TRANSITION AGREEMENT

enkel transition agreement

Spot price + statutory markup (§ 72 f) · with consumption-based billing

0DKK/mo. subscription
+ spot price + markup of 17.5 øre/kWh incl. VAT

The markup is set by the Danish Utility Regulator for 2026: 14.08 øre/kWh in DK1 and 14.01 øre/kWh in DK2 (excl. VAT) – approx. 17.5 øre/kWh incl. VAT. See the regulator's decision in their decision database.

0 DKK/mo. subscription
Consumption-based billing – you pay in arrears for what you actually used. No prepayment/account balance
Spot price in your price area (DK1/DK2)
Statutory markup set by the Danish Utility Regulator (§ 72 f)
Grid and system tariffs, electricity tax and VAT on top of the price
You can cancel with 1 month’s notice to the end of a month
The agreement is binding for enkel energi for 3 months

We've given you consumption-based billing from day one. The law only requires us to place you on the transition agreement — but we've chosen to bill it based on your actual usage, so you don't have to put down a fresh prepayment on top of anything you may still owe your previous supplier. You simply pay for the electricity after you've used it.

See the full price calculation, payment terms and all fees in your delivery agreement and in our delivery terms. The markup is incl. VAT.

What happens when you're moved to a new supplier?

Under section 72 e of the Danish Electricity Supply Act, Energinet can reassign metering points to new suppliers through DataHub when a previous supplier can no longer deliver power. If you're affected, you may have been moved to enkel energi as your new supplier — so your electricity keeps running without interruption.

No interruption

When you're reassigned, your power is never at risk of being cut off. The new supplier takes over from the day Energinet processes the move through DataHub.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about being moved to a new supplier

What does it mean to be moved to a new supplier?+
If an electricity company can no longer meet its obligations, Energinet can — under section 72 e of the Danish Electricity Supply Act — reassign its customers to other suppliers. It’s there to make sure nobody loses power.
How do I know if I’m affected?+
You’ll usually get a message from Energinet or from your new supplier, so check your email, e-Boks and MitID. If you’re still unsure, just get in touch with us.
Do I need to do anything if I’ve been moved?+
No — there’s nothing you need to do. The technical side is handled automatically. We do recommend setting up direct debit when your first bill arrives; it’s included at 0 DKK/mo.
What does the statutory transition agreement cost?+
The transition agreement is 0 DKK/mo. subscription + spot price + a markup set by the Danish Utility Regulator (§ 72 f), which is the same for all electricity companies. Grid and system tariffs, electricity tax and VAT are added on top. You’ll find the exact markup and the full price calculation in the product card further up the page.
Am I tied to enkel energi?+
Under § 72 e, subsection 6, the supplier is obliged to deliver for 3 months. You, however, can cancel with 1 month’s notice to the end of a month — there’s no lock-in on your side.
What about my prepayment balance with my old supplier?+
Any credit or amount owing from your previous supplier is strictly between you and them — enkel energi has nothing to do with it. Contact your previous supplier directly.
I have solar panels — what happens to my production?+
When you’re reassigned, your solar production usually moves across with you. With enkel energi it’s part of Denmark’s only free solar agreement — 0 DKK in supplier fee and 0 DKK in monthly markups.
How is the transition agreement billed – and what about the normal agreements?+
The transition agreement is billed with consumption-based billing: you pay in arrears for what you actually used – no prepayment or advance payment. If you instead choose one of our three normal agreements (spot price without markup), they are billed by default with prepayment (fixed monthly advance payment) – but you can instead choose consumption-based billing with a markup of 2 øre/kWh. You can request a switch further up this page.
When will I get a final settlement?+
Your previous supplier must produce a final settlement no later than 6 weeks after the switch is completed in DataHub. The final settlement shows whether you have paid too much or too little. If your previous supplier is in bankruptcy proceedings, any claim must be filed with the bankruptcy estate/trustee.
